what is poetry?

a poem is a moment captured with words.

a good poem allows the reader to not only picture that moment in their mind but also feel it.

everyone is different. therefore genres, styles, form and subject will resonate with different people in different ways. you can like and dislike poems, love or hate them. the fun part – well i think so – is to try and understand why.
